Hello, I'm Maia.
I am an artist, maker, musician, mother and upcycler, based in the Scottish Highlands.

I studied 3D Art and Design at the University of Brighton where I discovered a passion for the creative process and making things, which continues to this day. From papier-mâché chickens to gold-plated rings, I have made a huge range of objects and find inspiration in exploring the properties and possibilities of all kinds of materials.

Graduation led to the world of community arts, teaching and prop making where, combining multiple skills
I worked for clients including Glyndebourne Opera House and the Channel 4 programme 'George Clarke's Amazing Spaces'.

Alongside this, I have been renovating, reviving and reimagining not only furniture but interiors too. I get such a thrill from breathing new life into a piece of preloved furniture so it made sense to make a business out of my passion.

I also care deeply about this beautiful planet we live on and want to take care of it in any way I can which means, in part, rescuing second hand furniture and transforming it in the most vibrant, beautiful and stylish way I can and with the least environmental impact. The artist in me still needs to make art, so I will also be making my own work in whatever medium takes my fancy and it will always have an environmental conscience too, using recycled materials wherever possible.
